Teacher Enrichment Series
Led by Petra Ledkovsky, E-RYT 500 and Nina Petruzzo, E-RYT 500
Open to all Yoga Teacher Training graduates, this series offers the opportunity to refresh and enhance you knowledge and skills, study special topics in-depth, and take your teaching to the next level. Sessions will include asana practice, meditation, lecture, interactive learning exercises and group discussion. Optional reading and writing assignments are offered to enhance your learning experience.
Each qualifies for 5 continuing education contact hour credits through the Yoga Alliance.
Session I- Saturday, February 16th 10-3:30 with Nina
Knowing the Body: Anatomy Essentials for Yoga Teachers
-Identifying common misalignments
-Modifications and prop use for teaching to injuries and limitations.
Session II- Saturday, March 2nd 10-3:30 with Petra
The Art of Hands of Adjustments + Working with Specialty Groups
-Discussion and practice of purposeful, safe and effective hands-on adjustments.
-Practices for women’s health: teaching pre/post natal yoga.
-Yoga as a compliment to sport training: teaching yoga to the athletes body.
-Adapting your open-levels class to meet individual student needs.
Session III - Saturday, March 16th 10-3:30 with Petra
Up-level your Teaching: Teach with Relevance, Clarity and Connection
-Effective class themeing
-Developing your voice
-Clear and direct language
-The business of yoga
-The all important peer review - practice teaching and supportive feedback circle.
$85 each or $230 for full series (sessions I-III)
*If you select the pricing option for full series (sessions 1-III), our scheduling software will initially show you as enrolled only for the one you sign up for. You have the option of adding yourself to the rosters of the other or we will take care of that for you. Either way you will be registered for all of the events you paid for.
Mentorship component may be added to your Teacher Enrichment Series enrollment, giving you the opportunity to meet individually with Petra or Nina monthly during the course to work on areas of your teaching and practice that you wish to enhance and evolve and receive constructive feedback on your teaching.
-Two one-hour private meetings with your mentor to be scheduled upon enrollment.
-Mentor attendance at one of your classes with follow-up feedback session.
-Review of reading and writing assignments
