Jenna is a yoga teacher, wordsmith, garden nurturer, and national park ranger who has called Cape Cod home for nearly 20 years. She tries to remember to say “thank you” every day for the vast jumble of blessings that make up her life.
She began to explore yoga in earnest in 2001, drawn by the idea of “meditation in motion,” and guided by teachers who blend Buddhist philosophy with the practice of yoga. As her own practice expanded and deepened, she recognized the best way to pay the gift forward was to share it with others. In 2007, she completed her 200-hour teacher training at Nosara Yoga Institute. She has studied with Sarah Powers, and in 2011 completed the Level I Insight Yoga teacher training. She also regularly studies with master teachers Tias and Surya Little, and offers a deep bow to those who guide her on the path.
She brings a lighthearted and gentle quality to her own practice, and seeks to share that approach with students. In the soft flow of Jenna’s classes, the end goal is to appreciate that the real benefit – and the truest practice – of yoga is found internally, by gauging the intention and mindfulness that the practitioner brings to asana.
