Susannah leads a challenging yoga class that is a natural extension of her warm and encouraging teaching style, reflecting her love for people and their diversity. What sustains Susannah in her practice is the mind body engagement. She stresses effort through presence and the breath, modifications when appropriate, and the ability to listen to oneself. Susannah came to yoga through a background in competitive sports such as rowing, running, swimming and cycling. When persistent back problems occurred her doctor encouraged her to explore yoga. Intimidated at first, Susannah was exhilarated to discover that yoga was not only accessible but an avenue for physical and mental growth. Susannah completed her 200 hour teacher training at Back Bay Yoga in Boston with Lynne Begier and Ame Wren. She also completed her Level One teacher training with Baron Baptiste at the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute. She maintains her role as a student by regularly attending a variety of workshops on Cape Cod and the Boston Area while maintaining a strong personal practice.
