On Cape Cod, the rhythms of the ocean remind us that the body itself is fluid and tidal. Just as the sea moves through cycles of ebb and flow, the human body depends on circulation, hydration and rhythmic movement to sustain vitality. In this summer immersion, we explore the body as a living current—awakening the deep intelligence of the hips, belly and inner legs through spiral movement, breath and somatic awareness. These practices replenish the body’s waters, kindle the inner fire of the core and restore lightness, circulation and joy.
FRIDAY 2-5 PM - Fluid Hips, Sacral Waters
In the chakra system, the sacrum and hips are associated with the element of water. Over time, however, the hip joints can become impacted and dehydrated. Today one in four people suffers from hip osteoarthritis. In this session we replenish the tissues surrounding the hips through pumping, rocking, stretching and sliding movements. These practices restore circulation and hydration to the joints, bringing lightness, freedom and ease to the sacrum and hips.
FRIDAY 6-8 PM - Fire in the Belly
The belly is the hearth of vitality in the body. Regulating heat and metabolic energy, the gut is closely linked to the power center of the third chakra. Through breathing into the belly, twisting, pumping and expanding the abdomen, we kindle the inner fire—supporting digestion, vitality and energetic strength.
SATURDAY 10 AM - 1 PM - The Body of Delight
Summer invites circulation, fluidity and joy. Through spiral movement, subtle core work and refined awareness, this session brings lightness to the body. The practice encourages a more fluid relationship with the body’s tissues, cultivating ease, suppleness and delight.
SATURDAY 2-5 PM - Stretch and Strengthen the Inner Leg
The inner leg supports the deep life force of the body. Due to fatigue and stress, this region can become tight, weak or collapsed. In Chinese Medicine the inner leg corresponds with the kidney, liver and spleen meridians— pathways associated with vitality and renewal. Through dynamic and restorative movement we strengthen the inner leg, increase circulation and rejuvenate the entire body.
As we practice near the ocean, the rhythms of tide and breath remind us that the body is not fixed but fluid. Through attentive movement and subtle awareness, we rediscover the natural currents that support vitality, resilience and ease.
