Jenna Sammartino
Jenna Sammartino, ERYT-500 and Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga (SATYA) teacher, is a yoga teacher, wordsmith, and garden nurturer who has called Cape Cod home for over two decades. Her years of studies in traditional yoga asana, somatic movement, meditation, and anatomy inform her teaching.
With her contemplative approach, Jennaβs classes are a weaving of movement and mindfulness. Students are encouraged to engage a spirit of inquiry, supporting and expanding the wellbeing of the physical body while also strengthening the wisdom body through the cultivation of focused attention and insight. Jenna works with private clients one-on-one and in small groups, where yoga can be further explored for its therapeutic and healing benefits.
She has been teaching since 2007 and an avid student for two decades. Guided by teachers who blend yoga with Buddhist philosophy and meditation, today Jenna studies with master teachers Tias and Surya Little of Prajna Yoga and she studies Dharma, yoga, and meditation with Djuna Devereaux, teacher at Spirit Rock. She has completed Prajna Yogaβs 200 and 300-hour trainings in addition to their SATYA curriculum, and has completed teacher training programs with Sarah Powers of Insight Yoga Institute and Don and Amba Stapleton of Nosara Yoga Institute.
