Exploring the Vagus Nerve with Susannah van der Wende

The vagus nerve passes through the belly, diaphragm, lungs, throat, inner ear, and facial muscles. Irregularities in the vagus nerve can cause distress on our physical and emotional health.

This special restorative workshop will focus on releasing tension around the eyes and neck, while stimulating the belly through a series of very gentle twists. We will also explore specific breathing techniques (pranayama) to stimulate and balance the vagus nerve and ultimately maximize a relaxed state.
